panasonic gx9 review

Enter the Ulanzi ST-09, an adjustable mount that allows you to turn an Apple Watch into a live viewfinder on the rear of your iPhone. With Panasonic GX9, you can record your videos at a highest resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 30p,24p fps and save in MPEG-4, AVCHD and H.264 formats. I downloaded the images and see that you are using a $250 lens on the Olympus and a $1400 Nocticron 1.2 lens for the Panasonic. But both can be more useful than that in many situations. Sometimes it was Fn1 button. Panasonic had: 1. in-boby stabilization, with no crop. Vaporware no more: the much-speculated-about Zeiss ZX1 has arrived. Especially on their higher-model RF-style bodies. Repaired, adjusted, tested. a child/stranger) can be affected as much by the (intimidation of the) person behind the camera looking at them as it can the size of the camera (as any documentary filmmaker will attest). Awesome for street photography as people subject's don't take the camera seriously and freak out over being photographed. Like both the GX7 and GX8, the Lumix GX9 features a tilting electronic viewfinder, but there are some differences compared to its predecessor. Priced at $1000 with kit lens, the GX9 offers a 20MP sensor, 5-axis stabilization and promises a 90% reduction in shutter shock. But isn't the GX9 exactly what you are saying they should do? It seems to me you are going by a paper spec promise on either camera and not for a real world shooting workflow. I think I prefer the larger body of the GX8. I can always gaze at my images after I catch them .... Add weather sealing, drop the tilting EVF to keep cost and size down and this would be close to perfect for me. Your market must be very different to here in the UK the GX9 body only comes in at £599, https://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/Panasonic/Panasonic-G-System-Cameras/Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-GX9-Camera-Body, While the PenF body only comes in at £949, https://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/Olympus/Olympus-Micro-43-System-Cameras, In B&H the GX9 with 12-60mm is the same price as the body only Pen F hardly a fair comparison as the stand alone price of the lens is near $500. Chris and Jordan from DPReview TV also shot a gallery with the lens, but on Panasonic bodies. Just to make sure I got this right. I do agree though the grip is the weakest part of the GX85. FLASH NOT WORKING WILL NEED FLASH PCB. 4th: Utilizing the in-body image stabilizer does not give an additional crop, 5th: Digital stabilizer crops slightly, but without noticeable detail loss. same happened to me after a 1.0 to 1.3 update. The recent firmware upgrade, from V. 1.1 to 1.2, seems to have rendered the GX9 IBIS almost unusable. The PenF in my eyes still has the better JPEG engine, and IBIS is a notch better as the CIPA stats would suggest (5 stops vs 4 stops) but the PenF does not respond as nimble or fast as the GX9. Panasonic Lumix GX9 shoots 4k videos at 30 framers per second. These capable cameras should be solid and well-built, have both speed and focus for capturing fast action and offer professional-level image quality. Also, the GX8 isn't dead. For social situations and street shooting there is system that matches Panasonic - discreet, super accurate and lightning fast. GX7 Mk I, Mk II, Mk III, and GX8... making it clear that the GX8 is a different type of camera. Because that is a $500 lens by itself. Thanks! For the GX9 I know the answer because I own the GX80, but for the Canon the focus is also too much on tracking. I thought the overall review is good, but you do call out a key omission with the AF-S speed of these DFD Panasonics. 3. electronic stabilization, which can be activated in addition to the IBIS for even smoother video but at the expense of 1.1 crop. @Jefftan - you are splitting hairs here. The GX9 is entirely consistent with the GX7. Besides, the review scores speak for themselves: Panasonic Lumix DC-GX9 review: 84%Hasselblad X1D-50c Review: 81%, The review ratings are to compared similar cameras the X1D is not a similar camera to the GX9, Yes I know, that was a joke... sorry if I wasn't clear. That's not the case here. When viewed at normal viewing seize sharpness was similar to me. Please deactivate your ad blocker in order to see our subscription offer, We check over 130 million products every day for the best prices. The camera can capture UHD (3840 x 2160) video at 30p or 24p and 1080/60p is available as well. Bluebomber, GX9's high ISO is better. Hi i found it very good in video with very good stabilisation but in photo not enough for me, especially i found foliage in JPEG is not good at all and i take a lot of nature pictures. We didn't find many wizards or scarecrows, but we did see plenty of lizards and landscape scenes along the Australian coast. Those buttons were way too soft and misplaced. But I’ve knelt down plenty in it and remained comfortable getting the perfect angle thanks to the GX7/9. I am addressing this right now. I was really attracted by that new 20 mpix without low pass as I like to shoot some landscapes too with micro 4/3, as the size is convenient, and I already had good results from older 16 mpx sensor from likes G6, GM1 and some 16 mpx sony's sensor in olympuses too. Agreed. OTOH the GX9 is one of the first Pana bodies to offer exposure compensation in Manual mode via the dedicated dial (when using auto ISO obvs), the PEN-F was the first Oly body to have this (not sure if the GX9 was the first Pana one or not). Comparing my 4 years old and 24 Mp APS-C SONY A6000 with this new 20 Mp m4/3" GX9 from Pana, I can say that the ISO results are very similar, just a little bit more sharpness for the SONY at low ISO. Here are some of our favorites. how i see it:e-m5 ii has better IS weather seal but no 4kgc9 have 4k but less capable IS and no weather seal, for one who don't care 4k, e-m5 II may still be better for still even with 4MP lessbecause IS is why i go MFT, (i already have A6500 but i disappoint with its IS and the expensive 10-18mm lensmy experience tell me sensor not everything, in ISO 100 sensor is practically same as full frame but so what with the soft lensIS basically useless, in wide angle any shot below 1/60 may blur, so called Sony 5 axis IS), so i lean on e-m5 ii and yes it is much cheaper than gx9 if i buy without lens. I agree with almost all the above observations. Companies in general are pretty bad at naming cameras, but Panasonic takes the cake. I guess Panasonic can't afford to have two flagship cameras for stills, that's just it. How? @ impulses , I only gave the price it sells new at in B&H the only USA store I know. GX95 would've made more sense in the US, but it would just delay the inevitable anyway, the GX8 fans would still be disappointed in the long run without a successor... And the GX85 is still a far better value for the money regardless, the GX9 needed a little something extra to warrant the price IMO. I had GX8 too and was very pleased with that too, using mostly electronic shutter. Low light AF is more than fine tho... Pdaf is lame. Panasonic's problem is. The GX9 certainly appears to tick all the right boxes. However for various reasons my go to camera was a GF7 for its small size with the kit 12-32mm lens. USB power would be nice too (not just charging). Hi ChrisFB: I have the m100 and 22mm lens as well as a gx80. Using a lens that is more than 500% higher in cost for one camera vs the other seems to really skew your results against one camera. In the Video review section, under Key takeaways, the 4th and 5th points are contradictory. I'm not working in the industry, but I've seen this again and again in so many instances and yes I do believe that's what they teach marketing students. While the sensor moves, it does not synchronize with an image, or compensate for camera movement. I therefore request that DPReview address the issue using the high quality lens of similar or equal value for proper comparison on all m43 lens mounts. While there's perhaps a little too much reliance on the touchscreen interface for some, especially when selecting your desired AF area, the GX9 is a nice camera and a very solid performer – it just doesn't do quite enough to stand out from the crowd. Me too and I hope it has a sequential field evf - just like the one in the present GM5 that I love to bits. What follows are the headiest products of 2020, the ones photographers really want. The issue here isn't even the PEN-F, it's Pana's own lineup! But yes you can set aperture and shutter speed and then use the EC dial to adjust exposure based on iso. The viewfinder also has a 16:9 aspect ratio – great if you're planning to shoot a lot of video, but for stills with a 4:3 aspect ratio, quite a lot of real estate is lost either side of the frame. Question on the field sequential viewfinder (in case the photographer is sensitive to flickering monitors): Is rainbow tearing just bothering or does it limit the function to evaluate the results? How well is the EVF the GX9 suited to control- exposure, - manual focus,- flare,- pol-filter effects,- colour saturation, ... etc. It can also focus into lower light than the PenF. Go to page: Performance … In this buying guide we’ve rounded up all the current interchangeable lens cameras costing around $2000 and recommended the best. For instance:, the facial expression on certain subjects (eg. As lately as the GX8 had a fantastic, big, high-resolution, and bright tilting EVF, so how can the GX9 be unique?! Had Pana put sealing on the GX9 I think the $1K price point would be better justified relative to the GX85/G85/etc. It's not something new buyers will typically care about at all but at least it's something for existing M4/3 users. It's small, lightweight and does a lot of things well, including image quality, autofocus, and overall performance. I really like the Canon too - really compact with great touch screen implementation (still trails Panasonic though for me). While they were out shooting their video about Sigma's new lenses, Chris and Jordan filled up a memory card with photos from the 35mm F2 DG DN using Panasonic bodies. -Unless, that's their focus, a whole line devoted to the Hybrid shooter. I wish good luck to Panasonic with their marketing efforts. And the GX9 fills that role really well. This benefit for candid portraiture of this simple but oh-so-effective feature set cannot be appropriately understood without witnessing it 1st hand. I still think I’ll get it. I am thinking about the 20mm 1.7 or the Olympus 25mm 1.8. I just wish they'd be consistent, not go back and forth between it and the Nocti, which they've done. The SONY A6500 also has wireless NFC and USB charging; you should know! It is the camera that introduced the brand new 20MP sensor, Dual … I'm still testing but it seems Panasonic has some serious quality control issues across the board. I think the review conclusion nails what the GX9 as a product is pretty well. As did I, then got a GX8, a better camera. I will write review once I get a good feel for it, but I very much like my GX80 so there will be not much to dislike. It seems most people don't get this. Plentiful controls make for an engaging experience, and the compact size means it's easy to bring with you. I ordered it when it came out, but canceled the transaction, involving trading in my GX80, when I got to discover the crop in 4K. Dual IS is working worse on GX9 than the Power OIS alone on a non-IBIS body... @larklon: You may be correct. Combining a 37MP full-frame sensor, minimalist controls and Lightroom Mobile built in, it's a refreshing – if a bit quirky – take on the smartphone-meets-camera concept. Oly's menus are definitely confusing at first too, the labeling and organization just isn't great or as intuitive IMO but you do get used to it and it does offer a bit higher degree of customization. Yes, very true. The good thing about the fully articulated screen on Olympus cameras is that it can be kept folded against the body, which is how it stays 90% of time for me. I would say the GX9 handles better than the Sony in the touch screen, responsiveness of UI, ease of use interface. I'm specifically referring to the studio comparison too. It’s compact rangefinder design, and fast focus makes it the ideal camera for these mediums. Hoping Panasonic will compress the GX9 into a GF9 version.. That's be truly awesome. The extremely poor EVF kills this camera. ], OK, so on return (with firmware V. 1.2) the IBIS seemed to work, though subjectively not quite as good as with firmware V. 1.0. Now, frustratingly, after updating to V. 1.3, the original problem of blurry pictures using Dual IS is back, with shutter speeds slower than 1/20th. I own a GX85 and moved to it from a Nikon D5100 and Nikon J5 which both have PDAF, the latter on sensor with a hybrid contrast setup. Agreed. Weirdly enough, stabilization seems to work very well in video. For this and other reasons, i'm keeping the gx80 and the gx9 is going on ebay. Panasonic's Depth-from-Defocus technology makes for speedy and accurate autofocus in a wide range of situations. On a purely physiological level, I’m yet to see any weatherised-obsessed photographer lie down in wet grass to get the low-angle shot through fixed VFs. @Jefftan I concur with @Raist3d and that you’re running the risk of disappointment with any camera if you’re banking on nailing detailed lowlight landscapes handheld. Not everyone wants a Camera that's Video First, Stills second. "This happens every few years (Canon going to a smaller, plastic body with the EOS 60D to make room for the 7D.". As others have pointed out, the Pen-F at its price tag should have had weather sealing, do you think that at $1000 it's only a cost issue? The GX line is nothing if not inconsistent, always has been and will likely continue to be. Here's what he found. Down to $999 at the moment. In fact, it looks great! Panasonic GX9 review Panasonic’s new rangefinder-style mirrorless camera offers plenty of features in a compact, well-made body By Rod Lawton 13 February 2018. dunno about the G9/GH5, the same dial on the GX8 was useless in M). No environmental sealing, no audio input and output jacks, no fully articulated LCD, an EVF that takes a step back. I usually shoot in aperture priority except when working on a tripod or using strobes so I've set mine up to use the back dial for aperture and the front dial for EC with the EC dial effectively off. The app includes automatic image transfer, gallery creation, editing tools and more. For now, the app is in beta and limited to a handful of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, but as development continues, it's safe to assume support for other Android devices is on the way. if not for good IS , 24MP APS-C dirt cheap, why use MFT? I considered both to be very fast. For your other shots, that don’t demand a tripod, plenty of recent reviews refute any disparity now in IBIS between Oly and Lumix and, for longer focal lengths, OIS lenses of Lumix have even been preferred over IBIS of either for certain shots. You confirmed what I already suspected. However, colour and detail are still not as nice as the G9, which is spectacular in these tests (I'm assuming the tests are adequately controlled). With the Lumix DC-GX9, Panasonic announces an advanced sister model of the Lumix DMC-GX8. The Micro Four Thirds sensor used by Panasonic is significantly smaller than the APS-C sensors used in most mirrorless cameras, so you might expect the GX9’s body to be correspondingly smaller. Using the GX9 for almost half a year taking some thousand shots I can see one nameable issue (beside the WLAN bug on Win7 systems):The designated exposure dial can be switched on or off but it is NOT customizable. That´s a pity because I prefer the rear dial for exposure compensation BY FAR. Nice little camera but if I were going for something like this I’d prefer the PEN-F. Well it depends. It is Pen F's price range which is already a tough call. I've never found operational speed on the E-M5 II to be an issue, it was one of the first bodies to really leverage UHS-II cards for one (several models before Pana took advantage of them for anything but video). Review: Does the Canon Rebel T8i DSLR make sense in an increasingly mirrorless world? Tom Caldwell, I might, I might, as the wife's GX8 is great, not least with the PL 100-400, at lower focal lengths, while in the long end my wife gets much better results using it with her E-M10 II! Monogram's Creative Console allows you to build out a customized set of physical controls to speed up your editing workflow. I sold it... My canon Powershot G12 had better auto white balance than this one. Our technical evaluation of the Panasonic GX9 has included a trip to the studio, where we put its 20MP Four Thirds sensor in front of our standard test scene. ;P. For the money, the GX9 really should've had weather sealing IMO, specially if they were sticking with that crummy EVF. comp. © Lots of stills cameras have an articulated screen. @ Richard. Still waiting for a true successor for the GX8. It does everything else i want for travel and street. I've got the GX85 (99% same body) and had to buy the GX9's grip (pretty telling that there even is one) to make it feel as secure as holding my A6300 without anything added. the E-M5 and E-M10 MkII).As for the galleries, I suspect that they use what they have at the moment. Not sure how to rate DR, as each camera gets wonky in its own special way: https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr144_0=panasonic_dcgx9&attr144_1=panasonic_dcg9&attr144_2=panasonic_dmcgx85&attr144_3=sony_a6300&attr146_0=200_5&attr146_1=200_5&attr146_2=200_5&attr146_3=100_5&attr177_1=off&attr177_2=off&attr177_3=off&normalization=compare&widget=462&x=0.17387438274278788&y=0.4990622261174409, To be fair here, if we move over to one of the pictures of people, the GX9 does noticeably better than the GX85: https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr18=lowlight&attr13_0=panasonic_dcgx9&attr13_1=panasonic_dcg9&attr13_2=panasonic_dmcgx85&attr13_3=sony_a6300&attr15_0=raw&attr15_1=raw&attr15_2=raw&attr15_3=raw&attr16_0=3200&attr16_1=3200&attr16_2=3200&attr16_3=3200&attr171_0=1&attr171_1=1&attr171_2=1&attr171_3=1&normalization=compare&widget=625&x=-0.8914851018725709&y=0.22593568792830787 (I’m saying this as the owner of the GX85; the GX9 looks nicer, but not double-the-price nicer, and I prefer the GX85’s smaller kit lens). Over-sharpening can mean loosing that organic look I guess. In another effort to improve the ultimate detail recorded by the GX9, Panasonic has redesigned the sensor mechanism to achieve a claimed 90% reduction in shutter shock (vibration caused by the shutter that can cause blurring of fine detail). But if you don't want it then it seems way to expensive. Panasonic GX9 Review Panasonic Lumix DC-GX9 complements the DMC-GX8 downward: Robust viewfinder-style mirror-less system camera – Mirror-less system camera with flip-up viewfinder. Agreed, as a GX90 it would have seemed a nice step up but somehow calling it a GX9 just leaves a bad taste in the mouth. It's not a camera for sports, good AF-C is not needed. Auto white balance gives a lot (all ?) While resolution remains the same at 2.7 million dots, the technology has changed, from OLED to a not so nice field-sequential design, with the magnification decreasing from 0.77x to 0.7x. Inside the GX9, the in-body image stabilization system has been enhanced with 5-axis compensation, which works alongside Panasonic’s in-lens optical stabilizers to enable you to use shutter speeds four stops slower than would otherwise be possible and still achieve sharp shots. No experience with the EM1, only quoted the specs. I’ve been into photography for 12 years, and out of all the cameras I’ve purchased the GX9 is my favorite. So, if you already knew the amswer then your question is purely argumentative and, ipso facto, a troll. The 24mm F3.5, 35mm F2 and 65mm F2 DG DN share similar designs and have weather-sealed metal bodies. Nice OLED EVF on PenF though. Good question. Looks more like a promotional piece to me. But if you are shooting landscapes anyway, you should be using a tripod. I can't believe that at this late stage of the game, DPR can get is so wrong when it comes to their reviews. In the comparison chart between the GX8 and GX9, it shows the GX8 (which I own and bought for it's 4K capability over the excellent GX7 which I have retained) it shows the GX8 as topping out at 1080/60p!Yet elsewhere it states ''4K is a big deal on the GX8. Maybe so you can take the lot of you don't want it? The GX9 is a bargain if you want that 12-60mm lens too. The Sigma 65mm F2 DG DN is for the photographer who wants a focal length that falls squarely between 50mm and 85mm. Given that my GX80 goes for like £200 second hand now and it is still great 4k cam and what not I am keeping it and ordered new GX9 body to complement it. Never had an issue with front focusing. I would be incredibly disappointed if Panasonic abandoned it. finally rightly implemented in M with auto ISO. As a street/travel camera, i wish it had at least a 120fps video shooting mode. My brother has the EM1 and he told me that the PDAF is only used with old 4/3 lenses. Handling is good, image quality is good enough for me, and having IBIS at this price point is an absolute bargain. Tweet: Buy on Amazon.com From … If the SF evf was indeed a problem for users then the sales of the several Panasonic cameras that use them would plummet - but these types of evf units still sell very well even though they get a regular slap every time they are tested. Take it from a GX9 user - no, it doesn't. With high-bitrate 4K and good-quality 1080p, the GX9 is a great camera for casual video shooters. I would at least use the Olympus 45 1.2 to get some where close in price (even though it's still $200 less. I am not sure I understand, tilt-screen only is precisely for stills! Depending on which system you're in and what your needs are, they might just be the compact, well-priced and impressively sharp little primes you've been looking for. Continuous AF is just about useable, but if that is your priority, choose another system. I was seriously considering the GX9, but after testing it at the gear store I got dissappointed. Please note that this is not meant to be a video oriented camera but still one can make a very decent videos with the GX9. A lot of pictures are "gray" out of the camera JPEG. Pana's time lapse functionality is still the best by far, Oly's Live Time/Composite modes are still very unique (and then there's the HR mode). As we continue to test Nikon's update of its multimedia full-framer, we've added more of our findings so far on image quality, dynamic range and video quality. That is just a few percent of my shots, I’m much more keen on Af-S speed and accuracy. Photographer and YouTuber Todd Dominey has shared a video that details the history of Kodak Aerochrome film, a film stock he says has 'an origin story unlike any other.'. I thought I read so elsewhere, and the auto ISO section of the review sort of insinuates it... That would make it the first Pana body to have exp. @BlueBomberTurbo “Cheek activation” is now a n issue of the past thanks to the GX9’s ‘Operation Lock’ option which can be assigned to a function button. On a hot and hazy afternoon, DPR staffer Carey Rose took the Panasonic Lumix GX9 and Lumix G Vario 35-100mm F2.8 lens to a neighborhood music festival to gather some impressions of the autofocus system. Next time I'll add the /s :). Similar "performance" knowing the higher fps and buffer size in the Sony. Introduction and key features. ;) Yes, the UI is quicker to respond when the camera is writing/changing modes, though the menus have just as many pages, if not more than Sony, to dig through. The way the screen can be pulled away from the body has also been revised from the GX8, with that camera's vari-angle mechanism that's hinged on the side of the camera replaced by a tilt-angle design, which doesn't offer quite the same range of movement. But similarly, do you risk not making a competitive product now (when one of your rivals does), just in the hope of selling more cameras to the same people? Might the results surprise you? Soft 1080p is my main complaint about the GX85, as well as dull colour. Some people just don't understand the tilting EVF, but for those of us who appreciate it, it's a wonderful feature. The GX9 is something of a blend of Panasonic's preceding Lumix GX8 and GX80/GX85/GX7 Mk II (what that camera is called depends on which market you're reading from). Pity they have used the same EVF. Panasonic Lumix DC-GX9 results on Amazon.ca, PANASONIC LUMIX GX9 4K Mirrorless ILC Camera Body with 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 Power O.I.S. The image quality observed is quite nice, with the camera's new OLPF-less sensor capturing lots of fine detail, pleasing colors and good dynamic range for a Four Thirds chip. Shooting from the waist I felt like I was attracting more attention due to unfolding the 'wing'. Sad. Size of the system with the lens. The 65mm T2 completes Vazen's set of anamorphic lenses for the Micro Four Thirds system. The Panasonic G9 is exactly that: stills first, video 2nd, both excellent. Some would call it also excellent. Thanks Sion H! Panasonic GX9 review Panasonic’s new rangefinder-style mirrorless camera offers plenty of features in a compact, well-made body By Rod Lawton 13 February 2018 Panasonic GX9 review sample Photos. thanksactually right now base on all recent development, i will have to reconsider whether spending more money on MFT is a good ideai mean Panasonic go full frame, Olympus no new camera..etc, i don't like Sony lens , if stay APS-C next camera will be Fuji. I wanted a relatively small, light body for street, travel, and as a a daily companion. But I think many photographers would be shocked by how good the Panasonic contrast detection based system works in practice. Check prices on the Panasonic Lumix G9 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, or Wex.Alternatively get yourself a copy of my In Camera book or treat me to a coffee! I would be happy if all the lab shots were sharp which they are not (compare e.g. Raist3d: My issue with it is that they ALREADY pushed the price to PEN-F territory, it's $999, just $100 less than the PEN-F... Granted that's with and without kit lens but you can find split kit lenses for $100 so the difference in price is exactly that to the average savvy buyer. Because I like to own 2 camera's I am looking for a secendhand GX8. Try hard as I like I have failed to see one screen tear on my GM5, GX7 or GX85. Sure, “perfection is the enemy of the merely very good” but the pros of the form factor and low-cost outweigh the GAS. I do like the extensive review, but I agree totally that the autofocus section is way to focused on AF-C/tracking. As a GX8 fan hoping that the GX9 would have been a GX8 update , which given the name was not au unreasonable expectation , alas I was to say the least disappointed . Far from the optimal tool for action photography, but the AF system is considerably better than any of the cdaf Olympus bodies. Before the firmware upgrade, using IBIS I was able to get sharp pictures with the 12-60mm, f3.5-56 lens at a shutter speed of 1/8, hand held. Getting close to as bad as a bare RX100. Perhaps the EM1 II firmware 2.0 fixes the autofocus issues? It's the GX8 that was the anomaly, not this newer model. But it’s removed the optical low-pass filter, which in … This means that Panasonic GX9 provides 4K (Ultra … The mechanical shutter on the E-M5 II also goes up to 1/8000 which might be useful to some. I think some emphasis need to be put again on size, size of system + lenses because that's what makes it compelling. Can't really agree about the 5D either as the 5D and 5D2 established the line as a high quality sensor inside of a (relatively) cheap body. I know that a small proportion of camera users have some issue with using them but I really do think that the issue is blown out of proportion as if it was truly bad Panasonic would soon enough lose sales and stop using them. So pour a tall cold one and get ready to treat yourself, 2020 style. Tilt, not fully articulated, shows a stills oriented priority. The new camera builds on what previous models have … There are a lot of photo/video cameras that have found a role as B-cameras on professional productions or A-camera for amateur and independent productions. We know that Panasonic uses two kinds of stabilizer: in-body and in-lens. Better EVF and faster mechanical shutter than the current GXs as well... so u mean S-AF for landscape even in low light not a problem? The Lumix GX9 gets Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi connectivity, with the former enabling a constant connection to your smartphone with minimum power consumption. I love its minimalistic design. The GX8 was in my opinion, a horrible ideal to bridge Video and stills. You people are crazy.
